The Community Energy Association is inviting new organizations to apply for CEA membership.
CEA invites you to review the attached Member Brief that explains membership and how it supports the important work that CEA is doing.
How Your Organization Can Help
Become a CEA member or partner and be part of the change CEA is enabling; be recognized as one of a select group of leaders in British Columbia. We depend on membership revenues to provide much needed stability and continuity that project-specific funds simply do not provide. Every dollar CEA takes in goes to supporting local governments in BC and accelerating their action on climate change, energy conservation and renewable energy. The future of CEA is in your hands.
Current Members and Partners
CEA has its origins in a Memorandum of Understanding inked in the mid-1990's between the Province of British Columbia and the Union of BC Municipalities, both still active current members. Other members include the Planning Institute of BC, BC Transit, BC Transmission Corporation, Translink, BC Hydro, Terasen Gas Inc., and Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. Infrastructure Canada is a special partner of CEA, having provided a 3-year contribution (ending August 2008) which has allowed CEA to significantly increase its capacity to support local governments. Vancity has also recently contributed to CEA capacity building and other projects.
Membership Options
You can choose the level most appropriate for the size and profile of your organization, and its position on the importance of engaging with local governments on climate and energy.
