Community Energy and Emissions Inventory (CEEI) Reports are a result of a multi-agency effort to provide a province-wide solution to local governments in BC for tracking and reporting annual community-wide energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The Provincial Government's Community Energy & Emissions Inventory (CEEI) initiative is establishing a provincial database of community energy and emissions information in order to provide regular inventory reports to all BC local governments. Most local government draft 2007 CEEI Reports were recently posted for your review and comment (http://www.toolkit.bc.ca/ceei). These reports represent estimates in three primary sectors - on-road transportation, buildings and solid waste - with estimates of land-use change emissions from deforestation provided as an information item at the Regional District level only.
This webinar will:
• Outline CEEI working group efforts to develop the CEEI reporting framework;
• Profile how each of the four sectors have been populated with data for the 2007 CEEI reporting year;
• Touch on ‘continuous improvement' efforts towards developing future CEEI reports; and
• Provide time for input and questions from webinar participants.
Presenters include:
• Ted Sheldon, Ministry of Environment
• Michael Wilson, Enerficiency Consulting
• Russ Haycock, Hyla Environmental Services
• Dale Littlejohn of the Community Energy Association will moderate the webinar.
