The Community Energy Association appreciates the $500,000 in funding under the Knowledge-building, Outreach and Awareness Program of Infrastructure Canada. The funding will support a three-year program Toward Energy Sustainability of Community Infrastructure, intended to assist British Columbia municipalities, regional districts and First Nations. Other funding partners for the program include the Province of British Columbia, BC Hydro and Terasen Gas, while the Union of British Columbia Municipalities, Planning Institute of British Columbia and BC Transit are providing in-kind support for the program.
